Rocks took the convincing 101-81 win on Friday night, defeating 2018 BBL Champions Leicester Riders, giving them some much-needed confidence going into Sunday’s BBL Cup Final against London Lions.

Rocks came out of the gate raring to go, jumping out to a 10-2 lead in the opening minutes of the game – a lead they would keep for the remainder of the game. Bouna Ndiaye opened the scoring early, scoring 6 points in the first quarter.

Rocks started off 2019 with a 101-96 OT win against Cheshire Phoenix in front of a packed Emirates Arena.

Rocks started off strong, jumping out to a 11-4 lead as Gareth Murray knocked down a jumper to put Rocks up by 7. Bouna Ndiaye then extended the lead with a tough floater in the lane.

Rocks took the 81-72 win at home on Friday night when they defeated Worcester Wolves in the first round of the BBL Trophy.

Despite coming off a fantastic win over Worcester Wolves to claim their first home win of the season last weekend, Rocks momentum could not continue onto their next game against Plymouth Raiders.
The boys in blue got off to an excellent start, with all cylinders pumping. Bouna Ndiaye and Ali Fraser got us off to a quick 5-0 start. Rocks always stayed in front, methodically putting the ball in the basket and holding the Raiders offensive powerhouses of Nicholas and Rashad Hassan at bay. With things looking good, Kieron Achara chipped in on the scoring, putting his defender to sleep with the jab step, then knocking it down over him giving the Rocks a solid start in front of the home crowd… <read more>

Struggling Worcester Wolves travelled north to pay a visit to the Emirates in the BBL Championship, as both your Glasgow Rocks and the visitors were looking for win number 2 of the season.
It was a tough start for the Rocks as they were right at the rim with bigs, Ali Fraser and Kieron Achara gobbling up the rebounds but unable to put the ball through the hoop. Rocks faced a traveling Newcastle Eagles on Sunday night who came into the league already with a win under their belt. Despite a strong effort by the Rocks, they never lead in the game against the Eagles and took the 85-100 loss at home.
It was a fast start for both teams as they attacked the basket hard in the early goings of the first period as Newcastle raced out to a quick 9-7 lead. Newcastle were coming into the Emirates off a strong win over Cheshire and their hot start to the season continued as they were making everything count…

Glasgow Rocks held off a late fightback from Esh Group Eagles Newcastle to pick up the win at Emirates Arena.
Spurred on by the return of their Team Scotland players, the Rocks were able to claim the season head-to-head over the Eagles for the first time in over a decade.

There was an epic top three clash at the Emirates Arena as Leicester Riders managed to pip the crestfallen Glasgow Rocks in a memorable and gripping overtime match-up.
It had looked like Rocks might have took victory with the momentum from a last-gasp triple during regulation time by Great Britain forward Gareth Murray which forced the extra five minutes. But, it wasn’t to be for the hosts as Riders held firm.

The home side continued to pull away throughout the game as they improve to a 16-5 record, whilst claiming the head-to-head between the two sides.
Kieron Achara finished with a game-high 26 points, while Gareth Murray and Neil Watson added 20 points apiece as the trio made 15 3-pointers between them.

Glasgow Rocks have strengthened their grip on third place in the BBL Championship after making it five wins in six games with a 95-82 victory over Cheshire Phoenix at the Emirates Arena.
Phoenix came into this one with five consecutive wins in Glasgow, dating back to March 2014, but they had not won in this campaign since their last win north of the border in December, and have now lost five on the spin.

Brandon Clark finished with 30 points and also added 12 rebounds and four assists in the win as the Riders improved to 17-2 with victory over one of their closest league rivals.

Sterling Davis’ side were beaten by London Lions on Friday on the back of last week’s Cup Final loss, but they responded to improve to 11-4.
Kieron Achara led the way with a 24-point haul with Lewis Thomas and Neil Watson adding 16 and 13 points respectively.

Pierre Hampton top scored with 23 points and added 10 boards in the road win as the Riders overturned a slender third-quarter deficit to continue the defence of their title.
Glasgow were without GB captain Kieron Achara and had a biggest lead of six in a close-fought contest with their focus now turning to next Sunday’s BBL Cup Final.

Cheshire Phoenix came out on top in an overtime thriller after beating Glasgow Rocks 84-85 in front of the BBC Sport cameras.
The visitors had a six-man rotation and had Mike Burton in charge for the game as they prevailed in the extra period for their fourth win of the season. Frank Eaves led the way with 23 points in over 40 minutes of action as the Nix line-up logged heavy minutes in the absence of Josh Wilcher.
Glasgow led by as many as 10 points in the contest, but lose ground on the top two teams with their third loss of the league campaign.

Glasgow Rocks booked their place in the BBL Cup Final after beating Surrey Scorchers 87-73 on Sunday for an overall 16-point victory (Rocks win 168-152 on aggregate).
