Been dancing since: danced for fun when I was little then joined a competitive cheerleading squad when I was 10!

 

Dance experience: I’ve been a competitive cheerleader since 2004, However I had almost 4 years out (not by choice)! I’ve competed in the US and performed at the Commonwealth games! Got my HNC Dance qualification grade A, lyrical, jazz and ballet training.

 

Favourite style of dance: I’d say I’m a classic pom dancer! Do love a bit of lyrical and commercial as well!

 

What advice would you give to aspiring dancers? Don’t hold back! The more uncomfortable you feel, the more uncomfortable it probably looks so just go for it and don’t worry about others watching! Give it all you got and have fun.

 

Best advice ever given to me: “stop apologising for being good” if I’m totally honest I never understood what that meant until now!

 

What is your earliest childhood memory? The only thing I can remember is gripping on to my gran's leg not wanting her to leave me at nursery ..

 

What I do to keep fit: I train twice a week with the Rockettes and dance at a commercial class in town. I condtion/workout in my bedroom and try to hit the gym when I’m not working! I’m forever prancing about my house also.

 

Three words that describe me are: Caring, unique and a little dolly!

 

How would friends sum you up in one sentence? I’m very caring and thoughtful, but also a walking disaster.

 

I'm happiest when: I’m dancing or playing around with my two nieces!

 

My claim to fame is: Don’t really have anything exciting other than dancing on tv at the Commonwealth games and dancing at a football cup final.

 

My most unusual job: I’ve only had 2 jobs but people always give me a funny look when I say I’m a baker!

 

If I had a different job I'd be: I would love to be a vet but the thought of putting animals down breaks my heart.

 

My hobbies are: Dancing of course and I love to draw, never really have the time or patience to draw anymore though!

 

Pets: I have two big dogs, Damian and Shumba.

 

Most people don't know this about me: Done a 10,000ft sky dive for charity.

I've never been able to: raise one eyebrow, still frustrates me.

What would be your ideal weekend? It’s very rare to have a weekend off work so I’d love to stay chilled in bed without having to get up for work!

Biggest hair trauma: Caught my hair in the hair dryer while drying my hair and the hair-dryer went up in smokes ..

If your life was made into a movie what would it be called and who would play you? Not sure what it would be called but I’d get Miley Cyrus to play me.

The person/people I most admire are: My gran will always be the person I admire most and of course my mum, but also a very good friend who’s had a very tough year but never gave up!

 

What is the best gift you have ever received? I’m a bit of a cheese ball and not really a gift person, no gift beats life and love! Cheesy I know.

 

If your house was on fire, what objects would you save? I’d save our family photo albums, my phone with all my memories and do my dogs count?

What is the best thing about being a Rockettes Dancer? All the girls are so supportive both inside and outside of training! Couldn’t ask for a nicer group of girls.
